Work with me

Currently taking on new clients.

Updated 29/04/2024–  Please fill in the contact form on this website or message me on 07713033305 and I will call you back back. Appointments currently available on Tuesday mornings/lunchtime.

Individual sessions

I can offer individual therapy sessions, each lasting one hour at £65 each. A double appointment is frequently offered to new clients for their first appointment so we can hit the ground running with some powerful hypnotherapy.

If you are looking for a phobia to be treated then I would recommend a one-off double appointment.

Want to find out more? Drop me a message and I’ll call you back at a time that suits you so we can discuss what you need help with and how you can move past it. This consultation is FREE so you’ve nothing to lose.

Clinic hours: All sessions take place on Tuesdays. The earliest appointment is at 9am, the last appointment is at 8.10pm.

Cancellation policy: I appreciate that life happens and we sometimes need to cancel an appointment due to sickness or childcare emergencies. I kindly ask all clients to pay a non-refundable £25 deposit for a single appointment and £50 deposit for a double appointment. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the allotted appointment time then half the remaining balance is payable. If less than 24 hours notice is given then the whole balance is payable.

Confidentiality: I operate to a strict code of ethics and conduct as set out by the National Council of Hypnotherapists. No sessions will be recorded. All sessions will be strictly confidential. As with all therapists I am duty bound to contact the relevant authorities should I suspect you are at immediate risk of harming yourself or others.

How many sessions will I need?

For severe generalised anxiety I would recommend a minimum of six sessions, each set a week apart.  The first session is a two hour appointment so we can really hit the ground running and make some powerful change with hypnosis. At the end of session six we carry out a review and determine whether to arrange an another two sessions. At the end of these additional sessions we carry out another review. Change work can occur quite rapidly once you get into good practices.

The option is there to to continue sessions for longer than eight weeks, though we may space out the sessions to fortnightly instead. This is at the discretion of the client and therapist.

For those who wish to come for a phobia removal, I would recommend a one-off two-hour appointment.

What happens at the first appointment?

I will take a short case history, then explain some simple physiology so you understand why you may be feeling the way you do and what we can do about it. An explanation of what is going to happen during hypnosis is given and then we carry out a full clinical hypnosis session. Allow two hours for this appointment. We may finish a little earlier than this, this all depends how quickly you go through each stage of hypnosis.

What happens at the following appointments?

Each following appointment is 60mins and costs £65. We will cover a structured process of thought experiments which will stimulate your mind to think differently about stressful or emotional thoughts, thoughts that you want to escape from. We then move on to solution-focused visualisation combined with more clinical hypnosis to move you towards that version of yourself you want to be. Between these sessions you will be given some work to do at home to make the change happen more quickly. A review is carried out at the end of session six to determine whether any additional sessions would be of benefit.

How do I know when I should stop therapy?

Great question. This is where the reviews are very useful. As mentioned above after the first six weeks we carry out a review and another review after a further two sessions. We recap on what your goals for therapy were when you started, ask yourself if they have been met, and give you an opportunity to consider if there is further work you wish to do during therapy.

I would caution about stopping therapy too soon, especially if you start to feel much better after the first 2-3 sessions.  Stay the course and you will cement those changes in your mind.

How qualified is my therapist to work with severe anxiety?
